(ISN) – VICTORIA, B.C. – The Victoria HarbourCats Baseball Club and the Greater Victoria Baseball Association (GVBA) are once again pleased to team with the Toronto Blue Jays for the Honda Super Camp, slated for July 12-13 at Sports Traders Diamond at RAP.
The HarbourCats organization and Victoria’s largest baseball association, the GVBA, will support the camps, which will be headlined by former Blue Jays greats – outfielder Devon White, second baseman Roberto Alomar, outfielder Brian McRae, second baseman Homer Bush and pitcher Tanyon Sturtze.
“Victoria had one of the best showings a year ago for participation in these great camps, held nation-wide by the Blue Jays, and we’re very glad to have the Blue Jays returning to Victoria for 2015,” said HarbourCats General Manager Jim Swanson.
“The Blue Jays are Canada’s team, and they really step to the plate by doing these camps from coast to coast – Victoria, to Newfoundland, and points in between. To have kids her have the opportunity to learn from players who made it to the highest level is a great opportunity. Thank you in particular to Stephen Brooks and his team for the countless hours they put in to make these camps a reality and grow the game across Canada.”
