Freeman sinks half-court buzzer beater to earn Old Dominion a trip to MSG

With 3.5 seconds remaining in the NIT quarterfinal game featuring Murray State and Old Dominion, the score was tied at 69.

ODU had the inbound from the far baseline and had to go the length of the court to score. The inbound pass came to Trey Freeman work worked his way up the sideline, crashing into a Murray State defender.

With less than one second remaining, Freeman let loose a prayer from the NIT logo, roughly 45-feet from the basket.

Luckily for Freeman’s Monarchs, in this game, the bank shots still count if you don’t call it.
