(ISN) – PEORIA, Ariz. – Mike Zunino went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and hit his 7th home run and Taijuan Walker allowed one run over 7.0 innings to lead the Mariners to a 5-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels Monday afternoon in Cactus League play at Peoria Stadium.

The Mariners snapped a 5-game losing streak to improve to 11-15-2 in Cactus League play. Seattle has four games remaining in Arizona before opening the 2015 season next Monday (April 6) vs. the Los Angeles Angels at Safeco Field.

Walker (3-0) continued his dominating spring allowing just a Matt Joyce solo home run in his 7.0-inning start, the longest by a Mariners pitcher this spring. Walker struck out 5 and did not walk a batter in his sixth Cactus League start. The right-hander has allowed just 9 hits and one run in 25.0 innings this spring (0.36 ERA), with 24 strikeouts. Dominic Leonenotched the save recording the final two outs after the Angels scored a pair of 9th-inning runs.

Trailing 1-0, the Mariners gained the lead with three runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. Consecutive singles by Robinson CanóNelson Cruz and Kyle Seager (RBI) tied the game. Zunino followed with a 2-run double to left to give Seattle the lead for good.

Zunino hit his team-leading 7th home run to lead off the 7th inning, the second-most homers in spring training play behind Kris Bryant (9). Canó added to the lead with his first spring homer in the bottom of the 8th inning. In 15 spring games Canó is batting .364 (16×44). Cruz added a pair of hits as the Mariners out-hit the Angels 9-6.

Joyce gave the Angels the early 1-0 lead with a solo home run to open the 2nd inning. After the homer and a pair of singles, Walker settled down and retired the final 17 batters he faced in his outing.
