(ISN) – After an exciting and successful season, BC Snowboard is thrilled to welcome riders from across the country to the 2015 Sport Chek Speed Nation SBX Nationals at Big White Ski Resort, BC.
The event will be held from April 1-5, 2015, and feature four snowboardcross categories:
April 2nd – Senior (15+) FIS
April 3rd – Junior (15 to 19 year old) FIS
April 5th – U15 (13 to 14 year old)
April 5th – Para-Snowboard

This is guaranteed to be an exciting snowboardcross event at Big White Ski Resort. Snowboardcross showcases four riders racing head to head at speeds in excess of 50km/hour. The course consists of multiple features, such as; rollers, jumps, berms and tabletops. The fastest riders in each heat advance to the next round until the final heat determines the winner.
The 2015 Sport Chek Speed Nation SBX Nationals at Big White Ski Resort is organized by BC Snowboard Association, and sanctioned by Canada Snowboard. The Organizing Committee would like to thank the host mountain, Big White Ski Resort, for their ongoing support for snowboarding in BC.
National Team riders Kevin Hill (X Games gold medalist) and Chris Robanske (World Cup gold medallist) will be signing autographs Friday April 3rd from 3-4pm in the Village Centre Mall. Don’t miss this chance to meet two of the world’s best snowboardcross athletes!
