(ISN) – VANCOUVER – Trinity Western sprinters and Coquitlam, B.C. products Nathan George and James Linde both launched their outdoor track and field seasons with impressive performances at the UBC Invitational as George topped the 400m field and Linde won the 100m Friday at the Rashpal Dhillon Track & Field Oval.

Running a rainy and windy conditions, George finished first in the 400m in 47.79 while also nabbing second place in the 200m in 21.50.

Competing in similarly blustery conditions, Linde took top spot in the 100m in 10.59.

The Spartans will now prepare to compete in the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) National Championships, which will be hosted in Rome, Georgia from April 30 to May 2.
