Alysha Sauve Wins Golden State Dressage Festival CDI1* Intermediate I Freestyle

Ottawa, Ont. April 8, 2015 – Alysha Sauve of Port Coquitlam, B.C. claimed the CDI1* Intermediate I Freestyle at the Golden State Dressage Festival in California, held April 2-5, 2015.

Riding Leslie Reid’s 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, Special Effect (Patjin x Wouter), Sauve completed her routine with elegance and precision to earn a score of 69.625%.

“I could not have asked for a better ending to my California tour with this wonderful horse,” Sauve commented on her winning freestyle routine, which was created by Karen Robinson and compiled using music featured in season seven of the hit television show, The Voice .

“Leslie Reid and I have been based at Johann Hinneman’s farm in Murrieta, California since December, and the hard work has definitely paid off.”

Fellow Canadian, Sandra Verda-Zenatta of Langley, B.C., took second place in the Intermediate I Freestyle on a score of 68.400% with her 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood-cross gelding, Wilhelm (Nanning x Olympic Ferro).

In the CDI1* Intermediate I, Leslie Reid of Langley, B.C. scored 69.974% for a second place finish riding Fine and Smart (Fuerst Piccolo x Worldman), an 11-year-old Westphalian gelding owned by Juliet Sears Ledorze.
