(ISN) – The Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen are pleased to announce Cody Bremner will be returning to the team for the 2015 season.

Bremner sat out most of 2014, but did put up an impressive 10 points in just four games. In 2013 Bremner led the Timbermen in scoring with 54 points, and in his first season in the WLA Cody had 69 points and was named the league’s rookie of the year. Before suiting up for the Senior A Tmen, Bremner was a Junior A star in Nanaimo.

He had 242 points in 75 Junior games, 73 of those games were for the Junior Timbermen,Cody also played field lacrosse for the Cornell Big Red, and was a member of the Nanaimo Clippers and Victoria Grizzlies of the BC Hockey League.

In the 2013 NLL draft Bremner was drafted 8th overall by the Vancouver Stealth, he had 23 points in 12 games with Vancouver in 2014, Bremner’s return to the Tmen gives Nanaimo one of the top offensive lefties in the WLA. With the addition of second overall draft pick Eli McLaughlin, and more player commitments still to come, Coach Kaleb Toth will have a lot of options on offense.
