Please read through for important information regarding your TC10K Half Marathon and Thrifty Foods Family Run


Last Minute Registration

Your last chance to register online Wednesday April 22. You have until midnight.There is also an opportunity for you to register at the Race Expo on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25. Please note that any upgrades from the 10K to the Half Marathon, or any other changes, can be done at the Race Expo. Fees for late registration are $50 for the TC10K, $75 for the Half Marathon and $20 for the Thrifty Foods Family Run. There is no race day registration, so register before Sat at 6 pm.

Thursday April 23:  4 pm – 7 pm, Team Package Pickup Only, Team Captains Only
Friday April 24:  11 am – 7 pm, TC10K, Team Package Pickup  
Saturday April 25:  10 am – 6 pm, TC10K, Team Package Pickup If you are registered with a team, your bib and shirt will be boxed together with the rest of your team. Individual pickup by a team member is not possible. Out of Town Package PickupOnly pre-registered out-of-town entrants may pick up their Race Packages on race day at the Late Package Pick Up Tent located on on the Legislative Grounds. Packages can be picked up between 6:00 am – 7:30 am.Out-of-Town Thrifty Foods Family Fun Run entrants may pick up their Race packages before 9:00 am on race day at the Late Package Pick Up Tent located on on the Legislative Grounds.The Half Marathon late package pickup and out-of-town package pickup will be at the tent in the Centennial Stadium parking lot at the University of Victoria. It will close 15 minutes before race start.


Race Expo

In conjunction with race package pickup is a great Race Expo which includes Exhibitors, a Speakers Series and movies about running in the theatre. In addition, we are excited to have Richard Hunt at our souvenir merchandise booth selling limited edition prints of the beautiful Dancing Heron image as well as other souvenir items. He will also be signing shirts during the Expo (time to be announced on the website).Race Expo Hours

Changing Races

You can make changes to your race category at the Race Package Pickup. Please pick up your package and then proceed to the Solutions Table.If you are a member of a team, please pickup your shirt and bib from your team captain and then come down to Race Package Pickup and proceed to the Solutions Table.There are no changes on race day.


Gear Check

The TC10K is not responsible for lost or stolen property so please do not check valuables. You must show your race number to check gear.TC10K Gear Check – 10K participants can check their gear in the Gear Check Tent on the Legislative Grounds. The tent opens at 6:30 am and closes at 11:30 am. Leftover clothing will be donated to charity. Please do not leave any backpacks or packages unattended on the grounds as they will be removed. We also have a Satellite site this year at the junction of Superior and Government. Great spot if you are accessing the race start from James Bay, Beacon Hill or Cook Street. All 10K gear pick up will be from the main Gear Check tent post-race.Half Marathon Gear Check – Half marathon participants will check their gear at the school bus in the Centennial Stadium parking lot from 7:45 am until 5 minutes before race start. Your gear will then be transported to the Legislative Grounds and will close at 12:30 pm. For more details, CLICK HERE.

Live Athlete Tracking

Once again we will be featuring the latest in real-time race tracking by providing Live Results via our partner Race Day Timing Services Ltd. Live Web Tracker & Leaderboard – Provides times and current pace, usually within 10 seconds of a participant crossing a split point. After the first split, estimated times for the next point and finish will also be provided (based on current pace). Visit the Web Tracker on either an iOS or Android device for a mobile optimized experience.Real-time Facebook / Twitter Notifications – Automatic posting as progress is made on the course. As a spectator, the times of the person you are tracking can be posted to your Facebook / Twitter feed automatically, allowing friends and family to share in the excitement. If you are a participant, claim your profile and enable Facebook / Twitter notifications. Virtual Race Bag

The virtual bag was sent out to racers on April 19th.  If you did not receive (or registered after that date), CLICK HERE for the link. The virtual race bag gives you everything the traditional race bags provided but we are saving the environment by not wasting all that paper!

Transit and Parking

BC Transit has an excellent site to help you plan your trip. CLICK HERE for the link.Parking is free on Sundays on the streets. You do have to pay to use pay parking lots. Please check to make sure whether you need to pay when you park. The City of Victoria website is a good resource for parking information.  CLICK HERE for the link.Half Marathon participants will receive a separate e-blast with information on getting to or from the University.

Post Race Massage

The West Coast College of Massage Therapy will be present at the TC10K finish area (north west corner of the Legislative Grounds) to provide massages by donation. Massages will be available from 8 am to 12 noon in 20 minute sessions.
