Gaffer has a Strategy to Beat the Heat…. and Abbotsford too!



Highlanders FC have been working on an advertising/social media campaign this month providing awareness locally that they have a pulse & alive and well for competitive soccer at Royal Athletic Park this spring.  Independent Sports News (ISN) ,Times Colonist, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feeds are delivering the message to local supporters of socceer.

The team has been training twice weekly, Monday & Thursday evenings, 8:15pm-9:45pm at Lochside park in preparation for the home double-bill opener this coming weekend, May 2nd & 3rd at Royal Athletic Park.

The Highlanders women’s team of the Metro Women’s Soccer League, also coached by Highlanders Mens head coach, David Dew, defeated Prospect Lake Soccer Club this past weekend 1:0, reaching the Provincial Women’s A-Cup Semi-Final.

Scheduling gods are favourable to Dew as the ladies will host North Shore Girls Soccer Club Renegades this Sunday, May 3rd, 2:30pm kick off following the mens game against Abbotsford Magnusson Ford FC at Royal Athletic Park.
