Two veteran players took home Player of the Week honors

Two veteran players took home Player of the Week honors this week at the Glanford park pitches. Vivian Bodnaruk for the Ladies League and Larry Cole for the Mens League. Both have been playing horseshoes for a many years.

Player of the week is calculated by the players score plus handicap. Men play 3 games in a night and the Ladies play 2.

Vivian had games of 54 and 74 along with her handicap to bring her total to 261

Larry had games of 52, 81, 69 along with his handicap to bring his total to 392

Scores are determined by throwing 50 shoes in a game, 3 points for a ringer and 1 point for every shoe within 6 inches.

Anyone looking to join our club and play in one of our leagues or tournaments please drop by the club at 620 Kenneth st.  We would love to chat with you and show you around.  We are a friendly group, and horseshoes is one of the cheapest sport around.
Horseshoes in Victoria has been somehow stayed a secret but we want to get the word out.  If you play at picnics , camping or in someones backyard,  come out and have some fun with us.    Even if you have never played before you are more than welcome.
See you at the pitches.
