It was a good day for the boys in green and white as both the Intermediate ‘A’ and Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks picked up wins at the Q Centre today.
In the early contest it was the Intermediate Rocks jumping out to a 5-2 first period lead against the visiting Maple Ridge Burrards. The visitors managed to make a game of it in the middle period but the Shamrocks rolled away in the third period for the 12-7 win. That makes them 2-0 early in the season. Liam Finnigan, Braylon Lumb and team captain Marshall King each had a pair of goals with Garrett Wicks adding a single. The Intermediate Shamrocks are on the road Sunday and return to the Q Centre for a home game next Saturday, May 9 to take on the New Westminster Salmonbellies in a 1:30 pm start.
