Outfielder Julio Morban placed on restricted list.
ANAHEIM, Calif. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Jack Zduriencik announced that the club has selected right-hander Mark Lowe from AAA Tacoma and placed OF Julio Morban on the restricted list.
Lowe (#57) will be in uniform for tonight’s game vs. the Angels.
Lowe, 31, was 0-1 with a 1.00 ERA (1 ER, 9.0 IP) with 11 strikeouts in 7 appearances with AAA Tacoma. He signed a minor league contract with Seattle on Dec. 18, 2014. This will be his second stint with the Mariners after spending parts of 5 seasons with Seattle (2006-2010). In 2014 he appeared in 7 games with Cleveland, allowing 3 earned runs in 7.0 innings.
Morban, 23, left the team for personal reasons. He has appeared in 19 games with AAA Tacoma and AA Jackson, combining to hit .194 (12×62) with 7 runs, 1 double, 2 triples, 1 home run and 7 RBI.
