The Nanaimo Senior ‘A’ Timbermen silenced a sold out crowd at the Q Centre in Victoria but beating the Victoria Shamrocks by a score of 8-6 on Friday evening.

The Shamrocks would score the first goal of the game, but it was tied up shortly after by Mitch Parker on the powerplay assisted by Mac Johnston.

Zak Boychuk made some huge saves in the first period, first frame ended 1-1.

In the second period it was more of the same, back and fourth with the Timbermen ahead 5-4, Brody Eastwood would add a hat trick while Doug Langlois added one.

Brody Eastwood would add another goal for his fourth of the night, Mac Johnston would add his second while Jake Emms scored one for the Timbermen to pull away with the 8-6 in the first game of the Western Lacrosse Association.

Timbermen are back in action tomorrow at Frank Crane Arena for the Home Opener at 7:00PM taking on Island Rivals the Victoria Shamrocks.
