Hawks Acquire Draft Pick From Medicine Hat Tigers

The Portland Winterhawks have acquired a conditional sixth round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft from the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for goaltender Evan Johnson.

Johnson was acquired by the Hawks in January from the Calgary Hitmen. He saw action in four games with Portland after the trade, compiling a record of 1-0-1-1 with a goals against average of 3.97 and .880 save percentage.

“We’d like to thank Evan for his hard work and dedication during his time in Portland, and we wish him well as he continues his career in Medicine Hat,” said Portland Winterhawks General Manager & Head Coach Jamie Kompon.
