The Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen are pleased to announce the commitment of Eli McLaughlin for the remainder of the season.
The left hander was selected 2nd overall by Nanaimo in the 2015 WLA Draft.
He played most of his four year Junior career in Delta, with brief stints in New West and Coquitlam.
In all he had 263 points in 77 games.
At the Minto Cup in 2014 McLaughlin led the Adanacs with 22 points in 6 games.
He also played with current Timbermen teammates Ray Banister and Pete Dubenski.
2015 was McLaughlin’s first in the National Lacrosse League with the Colorado Mammoth, he finished fifth in team scoring with 38 points in 17 games.
The addition of McLaughlin gives Nanaimo tremendous depth on the left side with Cody Bremner, Brody Eastwood and Captain Cayle Ratcliff.
McLaughlin is scheduled to make his season debut Thursday in New Westminster.
The Timbermen will play their next home game at the Island Savings Centre in Duncan Sunday at 6:30pm against Maple Ridge.
