The island rivalry was re-kindled Tuesday at the Q Centre as the Jr. Shamrocks took period leads of 5-0 and 7-1 on the way to an 8-5 win over the Nanaimo Timbermen.

Nanaimo was playing their third game in 4 days and certainly started slowly but outscored the Rocks 4-1 in the final period. Leading Victoria’s offense was Cole Pickup with 4 goals and 2 assists. Jake Cullen had a pair of goals with singles coming from Colin Bashford and McLean Chicquen. The Rocks are on the road against New Westminster this weekend and return to the Q Centre on Sunday, June 21 to host the Coquitlam Adanacs. Game time will be 5:00 pm.
