Blue Jays Make Roster Moves

June 23, 2015, Toronto, ON – The Toronto Blue Jays announced a number of minor roster moves Monday, all of which are related to their pitching staff.

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have recalled LHP ROB RASMUSSEN and selected the contract of RHP TODD REDMOND from Buffalo of the International League (AAA). RHP R.A. DICKEY has been activated from the bereavement list.

RASMUSSEN, 26, has appeared in 21 games (one start) for Buffalo this season posting a 4-1 record with a 2.93 ERA. In 30.2 innings the left-hander has 31 strikeouts and only 21 hits allowed. Rasmussen appeared in 10 games for Toronto last season recording a 3.18 ERA in 11.1 innings

REDMOND, 30, returns for a 3rd time in 2015. In three previous appearances (one start) for the Blue Jays, the right-hander owns an 11.88 ERA over 8.1 innings. In 10 outings (one start) for Buffalo, Redmond is 1-2 with a 4.81 ERA.

DICKEY was reactivated from the bereavement list after attending the funeral of his father, Harry Lee Dickey, who passed away last Tuesday.
