The Intermediate ‘A’ Shamrocks had a bit of a laugher Saturday as the undermanned Richmond Roadrunners came to town and lost by a 20-4 score. The Shamrocks held period leads of 7-1 and 17-3 on the way to the victory with several players getting multiple points. Braylon Lumb led the attack with 4 goals and 2 assists, Brad McCulley had 3 goals and 4 helpers with Liam Finnigan, Garrett Wicks, Ben Preston and Nick Murray scoring two apiece.

The Jr. Shamrocks hosted the Langley Thunder at the Q Centre and trailed 3-2 and 7-5 by periods but owned period 3, taking a 9-8 lead at 12:54 which held up until the 19:16 mark when Langley knotted the score at 9. Ten minutes of overtime solved nothing. Leading the Shamrocks offensively were Nate Wade, Matt Hamilton and Cole Pickup each with a pair of goals. Singles came from Max Fredrickson, Danny Smith, McLean Chicquen while Jake Cullen chipped in 3 assists. Charles Claxton went the distance in goal. The Jr Rocks are back on the floor Tuesday as they host the Nanaimo Timbermen in the final game of their season series. Game time at the Q Centre is 8:00 pm.
