Braylon Lumb led the offense with the hat trick while Marshal King has 2 goals and 3 assists in the loss. The Shamrocks are on the road to finish the season with games July 5 and 12 before beginning playoffs the weekend of July 18-19.
In the evening contest the Jr. Shamrocks defeated the Port Coquitlam Saints 11-7 with most of the goals coming in the final period. Jake Cullen led Victoria’s offense with the hat trick while Matt Hamilton and rookie Nick Preston had a goal and 4 and 3 assists respectively. Ryan Lewis and Jamie Jensen each scored twice. The Jr. Rocks wrap up their regular season against the same PoCo Saints Sunday on the mainland, which outcome may well determine where they finish heading into playoffs. Playoffs will commence July 11-12 regardless of standings.
