Duncan, BC – The Capitals have acquired 19 year-old forward Mackenzie Bauer from the Vernon Vipers in exchange for future considerations.

The Three Hills, Alberta native finished his rookie BCHL season with five goals and four assists in 27 games.

“Mackenzie had a very good start to the season and has lots of potential,” said Capitals Head Coach and General Manager Bob Beatty.

After putting up five points in his first five games of the 2014-15 season with the Vipers, Bauer missed nearly three months due to injury but returned in time for the playoffs where he added a goal and an assist.

“Mackenzie is an intelligent player who plays hard and will improve our club,” added Beatty.

Mackenzie and the rest of the Capitals will be at the Island Savings Centre for the start of training camp Saturday, August 22nd.
