It’s that time of year again!

Several Cougars are off to their respective Junior A and WHL camps.

C/LW Justin Almeida and D-man Joel Patsey won’t be travelling too far, as they get ready to take on the Prince George Cougars camp.

Forwards Riley Coish and Chase Dubois and Defencemen Kolton Carpenter and Jesse Pomeroy are on the ice tonight as Spruce Kings camp gets underway at the Coliseum.

Whitehorse product Alex Hanson will check out the lower mainland scene with the Coquitlam Express, while Colton Thomas will travel to Seattle for Thunderbirds camp.

Seattle picked Thomas in the 8th round of the 2013 Bantam Draft.

Brendan Moore and Steven Jandric are Okanagan bound; Moore will participate in the Kelowna Rockets camp, and Jandric will be with the Vernon Vipers.

Darren Hards is off to Surrey after committing to the Eagles earlier this year.

Captain Austin Gray and Conor MacEachern are going to Head Coach Trevor Sprauge’s old stomping grounds in Portland with the Winterhawks.

Goaltenders Griffin Outhouse and Dorrin Sekikawa-Luding will suit up for their respective WHL camps.

Outhouse will skate in Victoria, where he signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement last year.

Luding is eastward bound with the Blades, who drafted him in the 3rd round, 66th overall in the 2014 WHL Bantam draft.
