McNulty and Benjafield out with Injuries


Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers will open training camp without 20-year-old Marc McNulty and 17-year-old Quinn Benjafield on the ice. Both players will be out for the next two weeks due to injuries. 

McNulty suffered a hairline fracture in his foot during off-season training. The 6’6” and 207lb defenseman attended the Detroit Red Wings Summer Development camp. He is expected to attend the Red Wings training camp in September.   Benjafield underwent an appendectomy in early August. The 6’1” and 180lb forward is entering his second season with the Blazers. McNulty and Benjafield are both expected to return to the line-up during the WHL preseason.   Kamloops Blazers goaltender development camp is underway this week. Training camp ice sessions start Friday, August 28that the Sandman Centre.
