Club rugby season kicks off on September 19th

Saturday is a rugby day, but this Saturday in particular promises to be outstanding.

Canada’s Rugby World Cup campaign begins in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday, September 19th at 6:30am PDT against Ireland. 

Following that match, the club rugby season begins across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Competitions include:

The BC Rugby broadcast team will be at Klahanie Park to bring fans live streaming coverage of UBCOB Ravens at Capilano RFC, starting at 2:45pm on bcrugby.com/live

There have been some structure changes to the Premier Men’s Competition. A Premier qualification round, which runs from September to December, will see 11 clubs vying for 9 spots in the Canadian Direct Insurance Premier League. The pared down 9 team competition then begins in late January, 2016.
