The Kelowna Rockets welcome back three veterans to its lineup this weekend as the Rockets and Vancouver Giants play a home-and-home series to close out the WHL exhibition season.

The Rockets and Giants play Friday night in Vancouver before returning to Kelowna Saturday at Prospera Place as

the Rockets will complete a five game WHL exhibition schedule.

The team was bolstered this week by the return of Jackson Whistle, Justin Kirkland and Cole Linaker to the lineup from NHL training camps. Whistle (Vancouver) and Linaker (Edmonton) each played at the Young Stars

Tournament in Penticton while Kirkland was at the Nashville Predators camp.

Kelowna enters the weekend with a 2-1-0-0 record in the preseason, having beat Prince George and split a home-and-home last weekend with Kamloops.

The Rockets open the WHL regular season at home to Kamloops next Friday night Sept. 25.
