EDMONTON, ALTA. – The Edmonton Oil Kings reduced their roster by one on Thursday, reassigning goaltender Carter Phair, general manager Randy Hansch announced.

The Oil Kings have sent Phair, 17, to the Weyburn Red Wings of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. The Carnduff, SK native appeared in one preseason game for the Oil Kings this fall.

With the move, the Oil Kings roster now sits at 25: 15 forwards, eight defencemen and two goaltenders. Defenceman Dysin Mayo remains at NHL training camp with the Arizona Coyotes.
