The West Kelowna Warriors went 2-0 at the 2015 Bauer BCHL Showcase with a 4-1 win over the Langley Rivermen Sunday night in Chilliwack.

West Kelowna opened the scoring at 18:16 as Connor Sodergren’s 1st BCHL goal was buried on a rebound created by Reed Gunville.

Langley tied the game up in the middle frame at 16:04 when Ben Butcher beat Forbes Ploszaj, but the Warriors responded 1:55 later as Paul Lovsin snapped one in off the crossbar.

Nothing much would happen in the 3rd period until the final two minutes, as Kyle Marino’s shot bounced off Butcher’s stick past his own goaltender, giving the Warriors a 3-1 lead.

Lovsin would get his 2nd of the night with an empty net goal with 28.6 remaining.

The Warriors will return to regular BCHL action on the road Wednesday night in Merritt taking on the Centennials at 7 pm.
