Brandon, MB. – The Brandon Wheat Kings and Saskatoon Blades have completed a Western Hockey League trade.

The Wheat Kings have acquired 18-year old left-winger Garrett Armour from the Saskatoon Blades for a conditional bantam draft pick in 2017.

A 6’2” 212 lb Winnipeg product, Armour had a goal, six points and 60 minutes in penalties in 45 games with the Blades during the 2014-15 season.

A former seventh round pick (135th overall in 2012) by the Edmonton Oil Kings, Armour is a former member of the Winnipeg Bantam Hawks.

Armour is expected to arrive in Brandon later today and will be available to play Friday night when the Wheat Kings open up the weekend with a game against the visiting Calgary Hitmen at Westman Place.
