Sarah Inglis finished first at the BC Championships in Nanaimo

NANAIMO, British Columbia – Trinity Western’s Sarah Inglis (Falkirk, Scotland) made it three for three in cross country races this fall as the Spartans star distance runner finished first at the BC Championships to win her third consecutive race of the season.

Inglis captured top spot with a winning time of 18:48 over six kilometres and crossed the line 21 seconds ahead of second place.

The Scottish star will now enter the CIS Championships on Nov. 14th riding a three-race winning streak, as she also won the University of Washington’s Sundodger Invitational and the Western Washington Classic earlier this year.

Inglis was followed by teammates Lisa Brooking (Orilia, Ont.), who was sixth in 19:27, Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.), who was eighth in 19:50, and Mirelle Martens (Grande Prairie, Alta.), who was 11th overall and third amongst junior runners.

The No. 2 ranked Spartans will now prepare for the CIS national championships in three weeks in Guelph, Ont.
