Under his reign, Linfield captured its first NCAA baseball title in 2014 and returned to the Finals in 2013, achieving the first back-to-back national appearances in program history. Brosius was named West Region Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2014 and Northwest Conference coach of the year five times (2008, 2010, 2011, 2013 & 2014).

Brosius, twice named USA Baseball Coach of the Year, coached the USA 18-under national team to gold medals in the 2011 COPABE Pan American AAA/U18 Championships and the 2012 IBAF World Championships.

Brosius appeared in parts of 11 Major League seasons with Oakland (1991-1997) and New York-AL (1998-2001), batting .257 (1001×3889) with 544 runs scored, 200 doubles, 8 triples, 141 home runs, 531 RBI and 57 walks over 1,146 career games.  He was originally selected by Oakland in the 20th round of the 1987 amateur draft out of Linfield College and made his Major League debut with the Athletics on Aug. 7, 1991 vs. Seattle (2×4, R, HR, RBI).  He was part of winning three World Series titles with the Yankees in 1998, 1999 and 2000, was a Golden Glove award recipient in 1999, was named the Most Valuable Player of the 1998 World Series, and played in the 1998 All-Star Game.
