Today’s match-up between the Chargers and Cascades was another tough battle but the home team came away with the victory in four to end the series with a sweep. Fourth-year outside hitter Katie Fetting (Lethbridge, AB) led the Chargers with 10 kills, 1 ace and 10 digs. With only one loss in the season thus far, Camosun moves up to 7-1; UFV slides to 2-6.

MEN’S FINAL SCORE:

Camosun Chargers def. UFV Cascades

(19-25, 26-28, 25-23, 27-25, 15-13)

The Chargers and Cascades produced another electrifying five-setter and today’s was a fight to the finish! Ultimately, Camosun captured the win to sweep the weekend. The undefeated Chargers pick up their 8th consecutive victory; UFV drops to 4-4.  

First-year outside hitter Jerome Cross (Burnaby, BC) had a monster of match delivering 21 kills, 1 ace and 11 digs! Fourth-year leftside Savana Walkingbear produced 12 kills, 1 ace, 2 blocks and 13 digs.

Next week, the Chargers volleyball teams travel to North Van to take on the Capilano Blues.
