WOMEN’S FINAL SCORE:

Quest Kermodes def. CAM 65-54

Despite a short-lived lead at the end of tonight’s first quarter, the Chargers dropped their home opener against the Kermodes who defeated  Camosun last season’s PACWEST Provincial semi-final. The loss puts Camosun at 1-5; Quest moves up to 3-3. Second-year guard Kathryn Candell (Pacific Christian) had an outstanding night knocking in 19 pts, 3 rebounds and 6 assists.

MEN’S FINAL SCORE:

Quest Kermodes def. CAM 64-61

The opportunity to push tonight’s fight into overtime was just a trey away for the Chargers who fell to the undefeated Kermodes in a tight final frame. Camosun was led by fourth-year forward Ted Neilson who posted 11 points, 9 rebounds and 1 steal. Quest advances to 6-0; Camosun moves to 3-3.

Basketball action at PISE continues tomorrow as the Chargers tip-off against the Langara College Falcons. Women 1pm; Men 3pm.
