The West Kelowna Warriors fell 10-5 to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Saturday night at Royal Lepage Place.West Kelowna actually got on the board first when a cross-ice pass from Tanner Campbell redirected off the skate of Liam Blackburn.
Then, the Bulldogs responded with a goal two minutes later from Quinn Syrydiuk to open the scoring on a deflection while shorthanded.Goals from Chris Schutz and Chris Sarault in the final 1:39 of the frame made it 3-1 Bulldogs.Alberni Valley scored twice in the first 3:02 of the 2nd period from Eric Margo and Cayden Kraus to chase Keelan Williams, and give Brady Lenardon his BCHL debut.Lenardon gave up 4 goals on 9 shots, two of them on the power play as the Bulldogs got two goals from Adam Donnelly, and the second goals of the night from Syrydiuk and Schutz.Kristian Blumenschein on the power play, and Tanner Campbell made it 9-3 after 40 minutes.Williams returned for the 3rd and gave up just 1 to Donnelly (hat-trick) after the Warriors made it 9-4 on Blumenschein’s 2nd. Connor Sodergren made it 10-5 at 17:41.The Warriors head out on the road to take on the Wenatchee Wild, Surrey Eagles, and Langley Rivermen next week.
