PENTICTON, BC –Dante Fabbro (98) and Tyson Jost (98) will dawn the maple leaf once again. The two Vees are among nine BCHL players named by Hockey Canada to Team Canada West’s roster, for the 2015 World Junior ‘A’ Challenge (WJAC).

The tournament runs December 13th-19th, in Cobourg & Whitby, Ontario.

With today’s announcement, the Vees have now been represented 28 times at the WJAC since the inception of the tournament in 2006, most of any team in Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). Fabbro and Jost join Joey Laleggia (2009, 2010) and Troy Stecher (2011, 2012), as players who have represented the Vees twice at the event. Demico Hannoun (2013, 2014) and Paul Stoykewych (2012, 2013) also played twice in the tournament but with two different teams.

At the time of his departure for Canada West camp, Jost was leading the BCHL in scoring with 24 goals and 61 points in 30 games. The Vees Captain is still in the top three in league scoring entering this week’s slate of games and has the second-best point per-game average in the league (2.0); he left for camp riding an 18-game point streak.

Fabbro leads all BCHL defensemen in scoring with 39 points in 24 games and is fifth overall in the scoring race; his 32 assists are the fifth most in the BCHL. He left for Canada West camp with points in five straight and in 10 of his last 11 games; he’s second in the CJHL in scoring by defensemen.

Fabbro and Jost both played on Canada West last year, when the event was held in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. This will be the fourth time the two represent Canada at an international event. They’ve played at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, the 2014 World Junior ‘A’ Challenge and the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup.

All preliminary-round games, quarter-finals, semifinals, and the bronze-medal game can be seen live and free through Fasthockey webcasts atwww.hockeycanada.ca/wjac. TSN will carry the gold-medal on December 19th.
