Cougars defeated Wolves 5-2 for their 14th straight win

COLWOOD, B.C. – Kameron Fink and Nathan Looysen each scored twice Wednesday as the Victoria Cougars defeated the Westshore Wolves 5-2 for their 14th straight win.

Also scoring for the Cougars was Lane Vandewetering.

Victoria led 1-0 after one period and 3-2 after two.

Kayden Peck and Nathan Gelsinger replied in a losing cause.

Getting the start in net for the Cougars was Anthony Ciurro who turned aside 22 shots.

Chris Smith finished with 39 saves.

Victoria went 1-for-5 on the power play.  Meanwhile, the Wolves wound up 2-for-7 on the night.

Next game for the Cougars is Thursday, December 10 against the Saanich Braves.  Game time at the Archie Browning Sports Centre, located at 1151 Esquimalt Road, is 7:00 p.m.
