Duncan, BC – The Cowichan Capitals have acquired 19 year-old forward Corey Hoffman from the Prince George Spruce Kings in exchange for future considerations in the team’s only trade deadline day transaction Sunday.
Hoffman has put up some impressive numbers in his first BCHL season with 11 goals and 20 assists in 31 games with the Spruce Kings. The 5’9″, 170 pound native of Syosset, New York is committed to Cornell University for this coming fall.
It’s a reunion of sorts for Hoffman coming to Cowichan as he played with Capitals forward Jared Domin with the Detroit based Belle Tire U-16 program during the 2012-13 season.
Hoffman and the Capitals host the Victoria Grizzlies Tuesday, January 12th at the Island Savings Centre with puck drop at 7:00pm.
