Tim Dennett, General Manager of the Junior Shamrocks, would like to announce that we had a successful Junior Entry Draft Yesterday in Langley.

The Shamrocks were able to draft three strong prospects for our program and expect them all to be playing on our Intermediate Team this season.

Drafted were:

Dawson Gordon from Saanich.

Fast left handed player, intelligent player who reads the play very well, works hard at both ends of the floor, fast and slick

Thomas Vaesen from Cowichan

Left handed, very talented, fast and strong, goes hard to the net, he will add depth to our left side

Josh Pickford from Langford

Right handed, big, strong, fast kid, who can shoot the ball, has lots to offer us

Tim is very confident that these players will play a big part in the coming years.

Tim would also like to announce that John Hamilton will return as an assistant coach to Head Coach Walt Christiansen and that Terry Dennett will move up from the Intermediate Team to join them as an assistant coach.

Intermediate GM Wade Murray would like to announce that joining Head Coach Tim Dennett on the Intermediate Team will be assistant Coaches, Mike Pires, Josh Fagan and Lewis Ratcliff.

Matt Roik, current Senior Shamrock player will also join the teams as a Goaltending Coach.

Tim and Wade state that “both teams are now set and ready to start” !!!

The season for both teams should begin in late April, schedules yet to be released.
