Huskies host 47th Annual Sled Dog Open

On your mark, get set, GO!

The University of Saskatchewan Huskies, along with the Downtown Lions, is pleased to present the 47th Annual Downtown Lions Sled Dog Open Track & Field Meet featuring elementary school relays.

Running Thursday, January 14 to Saturday January 16 at the Saskatoon Field House, the Sled Dog Open is a community fundraising event for Huskie Athletics. Highlights of the event include Elementary School Relays and a full complement of track & field events for athletes in the bantam, midget, juvenile, junior and senior age categories.

Athletes from Huskie teams will volunteer at the event to interact and support the hundreds of elementary school relay kids.

Admission for the event is $5 to help support Huskie student-athletes. All fans can park free of charge at the Saskatoon Field House or in the Stadium Parkade, just west of the Saskatoon Field House. The Stadium Parkade will be courtesy of Huskie Athletics on Thursday night only. 

With an additional day on the schedule, the action begins at the Saskatoon Field House on Thursday at 4 p.m. with the heats for the elementary school relays. The elementary school relay finals run Saturday. The open and age class events run throughout Friday and Saturday. Events get started at 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.
