The University of Saskatchewan Huskie women’s volleyball team is proud to announce the addition of five players to their 2016 recruiting class.
Shea Beaulieu (Caronport), Courtney Falk (Lanigan), Baileey Johnson (Warman), Emily Koshinsky (Caronport) and Angela Lavoie (Meath Park) have all committed to stay in their home province and suit up for the Huskies in 2016-17.
“I am very pleased to have this group of young ladies join the Huskie women’s volleyball program,” said Huskie head coach Mark Dodds. “They bring a lot of promise to our future success here at the U of S, and I am extremely excited to have such a quality group of athletes join me as my first official recruiting class! I feel they will help us be a Canada West contender each year.”
Beaulieu will suit up at Libero for the green and white. The 5-9 Bealieu was a member of the provincial team and the Briercrest Volleyball Club.
Joining the Huskies in the middle is the 6-1, Falk. Falk plays for the Huskie Volleyball Club and has been a part of the provincial team.
Johnson’s commitment is the second by a Huskie Volleyball Club member. At 6-1, Johnson will line up at Right Side for the Huskies.
Koshinsky, a 6-0 Left Side, will join her teammate Beaulieu at Saskatchewan. Koshinsky has played with the provincial team and is a member of the Briercrest Volleyball Club.
Lavoie is the second Right Side attacker in this year’s class. The 6-1 prospect from the Prince Albert Volleyball Club was a member of the provincial team.
