The BC Lacrosse Association (BCLA) is proud to announce five Head Coaches for the Midget, Bantam,Pee Wee, Female Midget and Female Bantam 2016 Team BC Box Lacrosse Programs.

The 2016 Team BC – Box Lacrosse Head Coaches are:Midget: Rich Catton – Resides: New Westminster

Bantam: Ron McQuarrie – Resides: Victoria

Pee Wee: Curt Malawsky – Resides: Maple Ridge

Female Midget: Blair Bradley – Resides: Coquitlam

Female Bantam: Chris Gill – Resides: Pitt Meadows

Female Junior: To Be Determined

The Team BC Lacrosse Program is BC Lacrosse Association’s high performance lacrosse program for Box and Field Lacrosse athletes in BC. The Team BC Lacrosse Program consists of six (6) Box Lacrosse squads (Midget, Bantam, PeeWee, Female Junior, Female Bantam, Female Midget) and six (6) Field Lacrosse squads (Men’s Field: U18, U15 & U13 teams; and Women’s Field: Senior, Sophomore & Freshman teams). These teams are selected from hundreds of athletes across BC and compete at NationalChampionships against other Provincial teams. The Women’s Field Lacrosse teams compete at recruiting tournaments in Florida and California.The 2016 Box Lacrosse Bantam Nationals will take place August 2-6, 2016 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; the Female Box Lacrosse (Junior/Midget/Bantam) Nationals will be July 18-23, 2016 in Calgary, AB; and the Midget & Pee Wee Nationals will take place July 31 – August 6, 2016 in Whitby, Ontario.“The head coaches we have assembled come from deep lacrosse backgrounds and have prior experience with the Team BC program,” explained Team BC Box Lacrosse Co-ordinator Darcy Rhodes.“All of our coaches are driven to succeed and will take our athletes to the next level of their development.We are positioned well to have all of our Team BC teams vie for national titles this summer.”In 2015, Team BC Box Lacrosse teams brought home two gold medals (Female Junior and Female Midget), three silver medals (Female Bantam, Bantam Boys and Pee Wee Boys) and one bronze medal (Midget Boys).
