Phoenix, Arizona – The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack lost both games of a doubleheader to South Mountain Community College today (Feb 12).

They lost game one 15-7 and the second game 11-2.

In game one, starting pitcher Dillon Ferguson (Kirkland, Washington) got the loss. He threw four innings, allowing seven runs (two unearned) on seven hits and two walks. He struck out one batter.

Tony Tabor (White Rock, BC), Josh Hillis (Calgary, Alberta) and the newest member of the WolfPack, Josh Iannetti (Fort McMurray, Alberta) lead the offense for the ‘Pack. Tabor went 2-4 with a RBI and a walk. Hillis went 2-4 with a RBI. They both scored two runs. Iannetti went 1-1 with two walks and a RBI.

In the second game, rookie pitcher Jesse Marks (Sarnia, Ontario) started and went three innings, allowing four runs (two unearned) on six hits and two walks. He struck out one batter as well.

Ryan Faubert (Sudbury, Ontario), Joel Pineau (Calgary, Alberta), and Bryant Jameus (Kamloops, BC) all threw one inning each the rest of the way.

Offensively, Blayne Halland (Kamloops, BC) and Duncan Elgert (Calgary, Alberta) both had RBI singles.

Tony Tabor went 1-1 with a single and a hit by pitch. Josh Hillis went 1-3.

Riley Johnson (Kamloops, BC) also went 1-3 with a double.

The WolfPack have the day off tomorrow (Feb 13th) and then are back on the field Sunday (Feb 14th) at noon (11 Pacific) against Mesa Community College.
