132 players will compete at the first of four qualifying tournaments for the 2016 Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada. Here’s the breakdown of the status available at each of the four events:

Finish position Status
Medalist Exempt status
2nd through 16th (no ties) Exempt through first re-shuffle
17th through 40th (plus ties) Conditional status

Reunion’s Nicklaus Course, a 7,244-yard par-72 layout hosted Q-School in 2014 and provided an extremely tough test, with just one player breaking par for the week and players at 12-over par earning conditional status. Players to earn status that week include current Tour members Ryan Brehm and Matt Harmon as well as last year’s Wildfire Invitational champion Chris Ross.

Max Rottluff (Germany)
Rotluff was an NCAA 1st team All-American in 2015 at Arizona State thanks to two wins and a 69.81 scoring average, the third best in ASU history

Bobby Wyatt (Saint Simon’s Island, Georgia)
Wyatt was twice named a 1st team All-American during a stellar career at the University of Alabama and once shot 57 in the 2010 Alabama Boys’ State Championship.

Andrew Jensen (Ottawa, Ontario)
A former Mackenzie Tour member from 2008-2013, Jensen has made a name for himself as an ambassador for Bell Let’s Talk and his public speaking around mental health awareness.

Cory Whitsett (Saint Simon’s Island, Georgia)
Whitsett was the No. 1 ranked amateur in the world and an All-American at the University of Alabama. He had conditional Mackenzie Tour status last year and made one cut in two starts in 2015.

Brad Benjamin (Bluffton, South Carolina)
The 2009 U.S. Amateur Public Links champion is making his first start at Mackenzie Tour Q-School this week.

Peter Campbell (Baddeck, Nova Scotia)
Mark Hoffman (Thornhill, Ontario)
Andrew Jensen (Ottawa, Ontario)
Michael Jiggins (Cambridge, Ontario)

Bradford Curren (Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia)
Brandon Ng (North York, Ontario)

Last year’s only Florida Q-School saw eventual winners Albin Choi (Bayview Place Island Savings Open presented by Times Colonist) and Drew Weaver (Freedom 55 Financial Open) earn status on the Mackenzie Tour for the 2015 season.

Mackenzie Tour alums Julian Etulain, Ryan Brehm and Joel Dahmen finished 2nd, T3 and T3, respectively, at last week’s Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by Nacher on the Tour. Below are the top alumni on the Tour Money List through three weeks (bold denotes Canadian):
