PEORIA, Ariz. – Leonys Martín connected on a 1-0 pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning for a solo home run to right field, sending the Mariners past the White Sox, 5-4, in front of 9,527 at Peoria Stadium. In his 3rd start of the spring, Hernandez allowed at least one base hit in each of the first 4 innings, but came away unscathed each time. Hernandez did not walk a batter and retired the last 8 White Sox batters he faced, two on strikeouts.

Making his first appearance since March 15, Justin De Fratus allowed a grand slam home run to Austin Jackson – his second home run of the spring – in the top of the seventh as the White Sox took a 4-2 lead.

With one out in the 10th, Martín belted the walk-off home run to complete the late-inning comeback.
