Mackenzie Tour Q-School resumes this week with the second of two qualifying tournaments, heading to the Wannamaker Course at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

132 players will compete at the first of four qualifying tournaments for the 2016 Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada. Here’s the breakdown of the status available at each of the four events:

PGA Village’s Wannamaker Course, a 7,123-yard par-72 layout, has hosted has previously played host to PGA TOUR and Tour Q-School as well as the PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada.


Chase Koepka (West Palm Beach, Florida)
Brother to PGA TOUR winner Brooks Koepka, Chase has been making a name for himself as a 2015 Honourable Mention NCAA All-American at the University of South Florida.

Matt NeSmith (North Augusta, Georgia)
Currently no. 9 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, NeSmith is completing his senior season at the University of South Carolina, where he was named a third team All-American in 2015.

Chris Hemmerich (Kitchener, Ontario)
A former University of Guelph standout finished 86th on last year’s Order of Merit after earning exempt status as a non-member via two top-10 finishes in 2014.

Hank Lebioda (Saint Simon’s Island, Georgia)
The Florida State senior is having a strong final collegiate season, with a 69.92 scoring average in the fall and two top-5 finishes.

Will Starke (Chapin, South Carolina)
A teammate of NeSmith at South Carolina, Starke was a second team All-American in in 2015 and set the Gamecocks school record for scoring average in a season.

Last year’s first Florida Q-School saw eventual winners Albin Choi (Bayview Place Island Savings Open presented by Times Colonist) and Drew Weaver (Freedom 55 Financial Open) earn status on the Mackenzie Tour for the 2015 season.


With his victory at the Puerto Rico Open at Coco Beach, Tony Finau became the second 2013-present Mackenzie Tour alumni to win on the PGA TOUR, joining Nick Taylor at the 2014 Sanderson Farms Championship. Finau’s victory was the 124th by all-time alumni on the PGA TOUR.
