March 31st 2016, Victoria B.C.: The Eves of Destruction Roller Derby League is hosting a pair of exhibition bouts at the Archie Browning Arena on Saturday April 2nd, to warm up Greater Victoria derby fans for the 2016 season.
In the headlining match, fans will get the first glimpse of this season’s A-Team line-up, the top 20 players in Victoria, as they take on the Pick Up Sticks, a team comprised of skilled players from all over Vancouver Island – a number of them from the Vancouver Island All-Stars roster.
The game marks the debut of two of the A-Team’s newest pickups Roadhouse Bruise and Courtney Shove, both talented players who transferred to the Eves of Destruction League from Calgary-based leagues this season. Roadhouse Bruise joins the Eves from the Calgary Roller Derby Association where she played for 6 years and was also considered one of the best players in the province with her selection to Team Alberta. Roadhouse Bruise will also be making her coaching debut as she has recently been named Head Coach for the Hard Cores, the Eves’ rookie and free agent team. Courtney Shove comes to the Eves from Chinook City Roller Derby where she played for four seasons in the junior level. At just 19, she is already considered one of the top players in the Eves of Destruction league.

It will be the first time playing with the Eves for Artemis Prime, Shove Bug, Bony Banshee, Rosie the Ruiner, Rumble Bee, Natural Disaster, Ceezus and Stormy D. Meaner.
