Spokane Chiefs Playing Royals Tough

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals saw the Spokane Chiefs jump out to a 2-0 lead in the first period and then netminder Lasse Petersen took over making 44 saves on the night for a 4-1 win for the visitors. The Royals continue to lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.


Spokane’s Curtis Miske scored the game winning goal. The Royals’ lone goal was tallied by Jack Walker.


Victoria started Griffen Outhouse in net who stopped 19 of the 23 shots he faced.


The Royals went 0/4=0.0% on the powerplay, while Spokane were 1/2=50.0%.

Victoria will now travel to Spokane for Game 6 against the Chiefs on Sunday night with puck drop at 5:05 p.m.


If necessary, Game 7 will take place on Tuesday, April 5th at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, with puck drop slated for 7:05 p.m.
