Kamloops, BC—You can help make a difference in securing the BLG Scholarship Award for Thompson Rivers University WolfPack volleyball player Iuliia Pakhomenko.
Pakhomenko is the female Canada West athlete of the year for 2015-16. She is now in a competition for the Borden Ladner Gervais LLP award which will be handed out on Monday, May 2nd in Calgary, Alberta.
While the award itself will be decided by the judges when they meet with the four representatives of the respective University leagues that weekend (April 30-May 1). The candidates have all excelled in their respective sports, in the classroom and in the community.

Pakhomenko is the Canada West representative for the Jim Thompson Trophy. Her fellow candidates are hockey player Melodie Daoust from McGill University, swimmer Kylie Masse from the University of Toronto and basketball player Paloma Anderson from Acadia University.
The BLG Awards ceremony will be broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet.
