The Intermediate ‘A’ Shamrocks opened their season with a 10-7 victory Saturday at the Q Centre over the visiting Port Coquitlam Saints.

The Shamrocks held period leads of 5-4 and 8-5 on their way to the win in front of a very good first day crowd.  Jackson Boyd led the way offensively with the hat trick and one helper while Nick Murray and Jake Campbell each contributed a pair of goals and 2 assists.  Other goals came from Josh Pickford, Caleb Keuber and Colt Gnech with Darian Claxton picking up the win between the pipes.

Next up for the Intermediate Shamrocks is a visit to Burnaby Sunday and a return to the Q Centre next Saturday, April 30 when they will take on the Maple Ridge Burrards.  Game time is 1:30 pm.
