Kamloops, BC – After a 2-2 split last weekend (April 23-24), the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team are looking to improve their record to over .500 in what is the biggest weekend (April 29-May 1) of the season so far for the team. The ‘Pack are in Calgary this weekend for three games against the University of Calgary Dinos and one game against the Okanagan College Coyotes.
The WolfPack play the Dinos on Friday night (April 29th) at 6pm. The ‘Pack than play a doubleheader on Saturday (April 30th) at 12pm against the Dinos and 3pm against the Coyotes. The weekend closes with an 11am game on Sunday (May 1st) against Calgary.
“This is a big weekend for us to try and get back on track,” says infielder Josh Hillis, “hopefully we can come out of the weekend with a winning record.”
“We need to bring the good energy from this week in practice over to Calgary and play our hardest,” says outfielder Malcolm Upton.
The WolfPack are looking for a better effort against Calgary this time around as they have lost both times they have played Calgary this season. Meanwhile, the ‘Pack are 3-1 against Okanagan College so far this season. The WolfPack need to have a good weekend to take control of second place in the standings.
