The HarbourCats are also excited to inform fans that Royal Athletic Park will have full Wi-Fi capabilities in 2016, thanks to Tesseract Computers, located on Broughton just off Douglas.
Tesseract Computers is the official IT company of the Victoria HarbourCats, and this aspect will take that partnership to another level.
The stadium is currently being outfitted and come opening day, June 7, will offer its own free Wi-Fi network for HarbourCats games. Once in the ballpark, fans will be able to connect to the RAP Wi-Fi network, enabling them to surf the internet, and use their social media accounts during games.
“We want to make sure people can stay connected while at our games, and that way they can also tap into our on-line scoring system or even watch the streaming offering through Go Live, if they want,” said Jim Swanson, Managing Partner of the HarbourCats. “We have become so connected to the world through our smart phones and devices, and there are ways to add to the enjoyment of HarbourCats games by posting photos or videos to social media and letting others know what’s happening at the park.”
