Island Football Players Named To Team BC For ABC Border Bowl

May 8th, 2016 Victoria, BC (ISN) – The roster is set and thirteen deserving Vancouver Island junior football players have made the cut for the chance to represent Team BC at the 2016 ABC Border Bowl Football Championships versus Alberta’s best Saturday, May 28th in Vernon, BC.

The day –long, four game event will showcase each provinces best young and rising stars each province has to offer. BC players will travel to Abbotsford May 14th and 15th for insertion camps in advance preparation and build up to the epic event.

Vancouver Island has long been a hotbed for successful football careers with the likes of Mo Elewonibi (NFL), Rob Cote (CFL), Greg Morris (CFL), and Tim O’Neil (CFL) to name a few. With aspirations of future football careers in their minds, these hard working Vancouver Island players are sure to represent well against their Alberta counterparts

The ABC Bowl, presented by All Canada Gridiron, and hosted by the BC Border Bowl Group, provides those upper echelon players the opportunity to compete at a high level for provincial bragging rights and provide and avenue for some to perhaps get noticed by Canadian national and US football scouting bodies.
